'Junno Vision', so to speak. ;P I may or may not comment on other aspects of the drama (Sky Tree, the Hongo family, etc), depending on how lazy I'm feeling, lol. I'm watching it RAW, and I apologize for anything I may not be understanding right. OTL ---> This is why you won't see any complete episode summaries from me. Also, the style of my picspams may change as the series progresses since I'm experimenting w/ it.

Junno plays the part of Hotta Katsuhiko, 29-year old medical doctor working in a public practice. He is a former classmate of Hongo Sachiko. He liked her during high school and even after graduation, but never confessed.

Sachiko, with Sky in tow, meets Katsuhiko at a restaurant. She apologize for having Sky with her, but Katsuhiko says it's okay because the restaurant allows pets (despite being so fancy @.@).
Fancy Restaurant ~ 04:02
Sachiko returns the 500,000 yen Katsuhiko lent her in the previous episode (since Yuji decided against using it). He asks her if it's okay, and Sachiko says yes and thanks him. Katsuhiko takes back the envelope with the money and talks about the lunch course. Sachiko looks around and comments on the fanciness of the restaurant. He tells her not to worry about it. (---> He says that a lot, lol.)
Fancy Restaurant ~ 04:58
Sachiko and Katsuhiko receive the main course. Sky whines a little, and Sachiko says when they get home, she'll feed him, and apologizes to him, saying he has to wait. Sachiko pauses while looking at her plate and Katsuhiko asks if there's something she doesn't like on there. Sachiko goes on to explain that she was thinking of her family and what they would do with such delicious food. Katsuhiko comments on how lovely that is. Then he begins to look depressed and Sachiko asks him what's wrong.
Park ~ 06:31
We cut to the park and Katsuhiko says he received a letter from Kubota-san. Kubota-san's wife passed away. As a doctor, Katsuhiko wanted to save her and even until the end, he was against her going to hospice. He really thought that there was much more he could do. At the end of the letter, Kubota-san wrote that Katushiko allowed them (he and his wife) to spend some lovely time together. Katsuhiko wonders if he (referring to himself) is okay? To have a patient's family say such kind things to him, to console him - is that okay? As a doctor... Sachiko comments on the letter being a treasure. Katsuhiko asks if he can hold Sky. Sachiko takes him out of the bag and hands him over. Katsuhiko takes him gently and Sky licks his face. Katsuhiko gets emotional again, sniffling, and comments on how warm Sky is and hugs the dog close.

Thoughts:
- Junno's screentime felt shorter, but I only think that's because he showed up so early in the episode and never appeared again later. If I had to recommend an ep from the drama, I'd rec this one because Junno showcases his acting abilities here. At least, I think so. I think he's improved immensely and his scene in the park was very good, when he got emotional and cried (somewhat).
- Junno looked so good sitting at the bar, and we see his long legs~ *____*
- I like that things seem to be okay between Sachiko and Katsuhiko again. I wish he would've become a family friend though, and not just her friend. I missed him at the sukiyaki party, lol. Too middle-class for him maybe? /bricked
- Are there really high-class restaurants that allow pets? ahaha
- Katushiko sad makes me sad. ;_____; He wants so hard to help and do the right thing, and when he's helpless, it really hurts him.
- The crying scene still shocks me, lol. I didn't think we'd get that in this drama, especially since Katsuhiko is a side-character. Loved all the lines he said in regards to himself and wondering about his role as a doctor.
- Junno finally gets a scene with the dog~ YAY! Katushiko gets to hold him and everything, and Sky licks his face, giving him a 'kiss'. ;P lol
- Finally, the drama w/ Sky gets to me here. lol It was really well done to have the final scene of the episode be from Sky's POV. I loved that. :)
- Next week is the final episode! :O I hope we get to see Katsuhiko one last time. -crosses fingers- Oh, and there was a bit of a time jump at the end of this ep, w/ Sachiko just about ready to give birth. ;P

ahem ;) It's just adorable. Thanks for posting! I think Junno's part in the dorama, though small, is really nice. I like his character. And he's totally gorgeous with that hair and the glasses and in those clothes. :)

Date: 2011-06-09 05:03 pm (UTC)I agree that it's a very nice role. :) Something more mature and "normal", though Hotta still managed to be KY in some ways. lol I just hope that his next role will be more prominent. I'd like to look forward to more than a few minutes of him every week.
